Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create the Cajun seasoning mixture.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large, deep skillet to 350-375°F (175-190°C).
  4. Take each shrimp and dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
  5. Next, coat the shrimp in the Cajun seasoning mixture, pressing the mixture onto the shrimp to ensure it sticks well.
  6. Carefully place the coated shrimp into the hot oil, one at a time, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry the shrimp in batches if necessary.
  7. Fry the shrimp for 2-3 minutes or until they turn golden brown and crispy. Be careful not to overcook them, as shrimp can become tough if fried for too long.
  8. Use a slotted spoon or tongs to remove the fried shrimp from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  9. Serve the Cajun fried shrimp hot, with your choice of dipping sauce, such as cocktail sauce or a remoulade sauce.

Cajun fried shrimp can be served as an appetizer, on top of salads, or as a main dish with sides like coleslaw, French fries, or rice. It’s a flavorful and satisfying dish that’s sure to please seafood lovers and fans of spicy cuisine alike.
