  • INSTRUCTIONS:
  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • Step 2In a medium bowl, whisk together the 2 cups of all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon until well combined. Set aside.
  • Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  • Step 4: Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, until a smooth batter forms. Be careful not to overmix. Gently fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Step 5: In a separate small bowl, prepare the streusel topping by combining the brown sugar, 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour, melted butter, and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Mix until crumbly.
  • Step 6: Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle half of the streusel topping over the batter. Repeat with the remaining batter and streusel topping, creating layers.
  • Step 7: Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
  • Step 8: Allow the apple fritter bread to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
