Recipe: Banana Pudding Brownies
Ingredients:
For the Brownie Batter:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
For the Banana Pudding Swirl:
- 1 ripe banana, mashed
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the bowl and whisk until smooth.
- Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly with a spatula.
- In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the mashed banana, sweetened condensed milk, milk, cornstarch, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the banana pudding mixture over the brownie batter in the baking dish, using a spoon or spatula to swirl it into the batter.
- Bake the brownies in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the baking dish for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
