Ingredients:

  • 1 medium head green cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 pound egg noodles
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

Cooking the Cabbage and Onions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions to the skillet and sauté until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the sliced cabbage to the skillet and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and slightly caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Cooking the Egg Noodles

  1. While the cabbage and onions are cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the egg noodles to the boiling water and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
  3. Drain the cooked noodles and set aside.
