Ingredients:
2 lbs Italian sausage (mild, sweet, or hot, depending on your preference)
3 bell peppers (use a mix of red, green, and yellow), sliced
1 large onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 (15 oz) can crushed tomatoes
1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes (with or without Italian herbs)
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for extra heat)
1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for browning the sausages)
