Scent your home with the oven: a little goes a long way towards an irresistible aroma

The first step before perfuming your home is to free it from bad smells produced by different sources such as dirt and damp, or from our shoes and even our pets.

Our sense of smell gets used to the smell that ‘stagnates’ in the house, but this is not the case when friends and family come to visit!

Smell the house with the oven
If you are one of those people who smell the house with the oven, you know how nice it is to return to a warm and comfortable atmosphere at the end of a working day! So without looking too much for diffusers with exotic scents or scents that don’t represent us.

Cake, smell at home with the oven
The oven is widely used in the kitchen, its use can give rise to a bad smell that cannot be easily eliminated.

This means that when we turn the oven back on, as well as jeopardising the taste of what we are going to cook, a bad smell spreads throughout the house. And nobody wants to bake biscuits that taste like chicken!
However, we have the possibility of eliminating bad smells from your oven and at the same time perfuming the whole house.

water and vinegar
Vinegar, we can use either wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar, is able to neutralise bad smells and degrease the oven in depth.

apple cider vinegar
To do this, simply make a mixture with water and vinegar, which we will put in a spray, so that we can spray it inside the oven.
After leaving it to act for about thirty minutes, we can rinse and no longer smell anything.

water and lemon
One of the perfumes that make you think of a feeling of freshness and cleanliness. Well, this can be achieved not with artificial fragrances but simply by using lemon.

To make this natural deodorant you should proceed in the same way as for vinegar. We will have to prepare a solution with lemon juice and water, in the measure of 5oo ml of water and 150 ml of lemon.

After spraying it over the entire surface, including the grills, leave it to act and then rinse.

One way to clean the oven and cover it with a good smell is to use sliced lemon (two or three will do), and leave it in a saucepan with a little water.

Lemon juice
After turning the oven on low, leave it on for 30 minutes, until the water evaporates. Once the oven has cooled, simply wipe the now degreased parts with a microfibre cloth.
As well as having a more fragrant oven, a pleasant lemony smell will have spread through the kitchen.
