Ingredients:
- 4 lobster tails (about 5-6 oz each)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (preferably room temperature)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (or more to taste)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for color and subtle flavor)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions:
- Prepare the Lobster Tails:
Begin by thawing your lobster tails if they are frozen. You can do this by placing them in the refrigerator for several hours or by running them under cold water for a quicker thaw.
Using kitchen shears or a sharp knife, cut through the top shell of the lobster tails lengthwise. Be careful not to cut all the way through the meat—just enough to expose the lobster meat.
Gently pull apart the shell and use your fingers to lift the lobster meat out, keeping it attached at the base. Place the lobster meat on top of the shell for a beautiful presentation.
- Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
In a small saucepan or skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Be careful not to let the garlic burn.
Stir in the fresh lemon juice, chopped parsley, and smoked paprika (if using). Let the sauce simmer for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
- Cook the Lobster Tails:
Preheat your grill or oven. If using the grill, heat it to medium-high. If using the oven, preheat to 400°F (200°C).
Brush the lobster meat generously with the garlic butter sauce, making sure it’s well-coated.
For Grilling: Place the lobster tails on the grill, flesh-side down, and cook for 6-8 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and firm to the touch. Brush with more garlic butter halfway through grilling for added flavor.
For Baking: Arrange the lobster tails on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the lobster meat is fully cooked and tender. Again, brush with more garlic butter halfway through baking for that irresistible buttery flavor.
