This recipe combines the crispy texture of fried dough with the creamy goodness of cottage cheese, creating a delicious and satisfying snack or appetizer.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
- Prepare the dough: In a small bowl, combine the flour and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm water, milk, and olive oil. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Roll out the dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough into a thin circle.
- Cut into circles: Using a cookie cutter or a glass, cut the dough into circles.
- Fill with cottage cheese: Place a spoonful of cottage cheese in the center of each circle. Top with grated Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of oregano.
