This Italian Meatloaf is a moist and delicious meatloaf baked with ground beef and Italian sausage.
Cooked in a thick marinara sauce and topped with a layer of melted mozzarella cheese.
This is my version Italian meatloaf. It’s rich, juicy and bursting with garlic, fresh herbs and melty cheese, and smothered in a decadent marinara sauce.
And leftovers are delicious in a meatloaf sandwich.
This meatloaf serves a large number of people. A family of four should be able to get two dinners out of it. In addition to the thick layer of mozzarella on top, this meatloaf recipe contains parmesan cheese.
The meatloaf is cooked in a thick sauce that coats the top of the meatloaf. Helps keep him hydrated.
To add a little spice, stir chopped red pepper flakes into the meatloaf. If you want more heat, double the amount. However, doubling it may be too much.
*To make my version of Italian Meatloaf, you will need:
° minced meat, I used 500 gr.
°250 grams of Italian sausage.
°120 grams of Italian breadcrumbs.
°A medium sized onion, cut into thin slices.
°A medium sized red bell pepper.
°minced clove of garlic.
°An egg, you hit it very well.
°8 ounces of grated mozzarella cheese.
°1 cup marinara sauce.
°A quarter cup of parmesan.
°A tablespoon of milk.
° And depending on the season, I used:
° A teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil.
° A teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce.
° 1 teaspoon of fresh basil.
° A teaspoon of fresh parsley.
° Half a spoonful of mixed spices.
+For decoration:
°You must reserve half a cup of grated mozzarella.
°An additional ½ cup marinara sauce.
* Methods :
Step 1: First, you need to heat the olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat.
Step 2: Saute chopped onions and peppers for about 4 minutes over high heat, then remove from heat.
