Ingredients:
- 2 lbs cube steak
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Cube Steak
- In a shallow dish, combine the all-purpose flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Dredge each piece of cube steak in the seasoned flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
2. Brown the Cube Steak
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Brown the cube steak on both sides until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the skillet.
- Transfer the browned cube steak to the crock pot, layering them evenly.
