Preparation Time

  • Cook Time: 5 minutes
  • Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 200 grams of all-purpose flour (1 and 2/3 cups) or (7.05 ounces)
  • 5 grams of baking powder (1 teaspoon) or (0.18 ounces)
  • A pinch of salt
  • 20 grams of vegetable oil (4 teaspoons) or (0.71 ounces)
  • 125 ml of milk (animal or vegetable) (1/2 cup) or (4.23 ounces)
  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Add Wet Ingredients: Pour in the milk and vegetable oil. Mix until a soft dough forms, ensuring all dry ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Adjust Dough Consistency: If too dry, gradually add more milk. If too sticky, sprinkle with flour and mix until smooth and flexible.
  4. Roll Out Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to a thickness of 0.5 to 1 cm.
  5. Cut into Discs: Use a cookie cutter or a round object (approx. 6 cm in diameter) to cut out dough discs.
  6. Heat Pan: Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  7. Cook Bread: Place a few dough discs in the pan, cover with a lid, and cook for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  8. Cool and Serve: Transfer cooked bread to a wire rack to cool slightly. Serve warm with your favorite spreads or use for sandwiches.
